Rockfort will feature…
Self-styled 'Brutal Wave' act Frank (Just Frank) are signed to New York-based Wierd, the label at the centre of the revival of interest in Cold Wave along with the likes of Xeno and Oaklander and Led Er Est. As with their labelmates, Frank (Just Frank)'s nostalgic futurism is an affecting update of the electronic sound of early 80s continental Europe. .
Del Cielo are a duo featuring two very active members of Rennes' music and arts scenes: Gael Desbois and Liz Bastard. The minimalist electro-acoustic pop of their debut album 'Sous Les Cendres' mingles sensuality with barely restrained tension.
Double U is the alter-ego of Montpellier-based producer, who also works under the name Franklin. His latest album, Pineapple Dream, features Stereolab’s Laetitia Sadier and merges billowy acid ‘n’ sun-fried West Coast song craft with analogue keyboard sounds, dubby effects and crisp electronic percussion.
Formed in late 2009, Partial Gathering is the avant-garde Cello and Electronics duo of composer, Ruaidhri Mannion, and cellist, Corentin Chassard. After their first performance in November 2009 at London's National Portrait Gallery, they began to further explore the relationships between contemporary art and intuitive musical interactions.

About Rockfort
Rockfort began life as a French music radio show on Resonance 104.4FM (www.resonancefm.com), in London in 2005, presented by Ludovic Merle (FR) and David McKenna (GB), with the aim of highlighting the flowering of talent in France since the 90s French Touch explosion, while also looking back at classics from the 50s onwards. Since the inception of the show, Rockfort has also been running and promoting live nights featuring the cream of up-and-coming French acts at The Social in Little Portland Street, at The Windmill in Brixton and the French Institute in London.
The Rockfort website http://www.rockfort.info/ is the English language reference point for news and views on contemporary French music and culture. It is the first port of call for anyone who wants an informed and discerning view on the country’s musical output.
