+3db label night: LEMUR + LENE GRENAGER + TILBURY / DUCH / PREVOST / DAVIES

No Longer Available

The Norwegian label +3dB focuses on bringing out new music and sound without consideration for genre esthetics. The releases so far range from contemporary composer portraits through electro-acoustics, experimental performance, improv and sound art. This evening three acts all with new releases on the label will be presented: Lemur, Lene Grenager and Tilbury/Duch/Prévost/Davies.

Lemur

Simmering with quiet intensity, Norwegian quartet LEMUR develops it’s subtle, poetic music side by side with broadly painted soundscapes. Transforming the intimacy of quartet improvisation to symphonic scale and construction, the creative collective moves between studio work, club concerts, curating and group composition.

John Tilbury and Eddie Prévost have worked together since the birth of British experimental music in the sixties. Norwegian bassist Michael Duch joined the duo for some performances in Norway that resulted in their recent CD on +3db.
