Luke Jordan works across various disciplines including performance, experimental sound, electronics, sculpture and installation, often investigating concepts of spirit and matter, through embodiment, sensation, space and imaginary media.
"In my current work I explore the animation of sculptural assemblages through the creation and modulation of an audio feedback loop channelled through their structures, accessing their hidden voices. The decaying elegance of these objects is in contrast with the cacophonous, inherently violent qualities of the sounds produced, which I attempt, but ultimately fail to control due to their chaotic nature. Presented as installations and live performances they become assemblages of human and non-human bodies interacting to produce a primal, viscerally affective experience."
