The event will feature readings from CA Conrad, Oisín Roberts, and Isabel Waidner, with music by Jacken Elswyth. Limited editions of A Cast of Flowers and signed copies of Advanced Elvis Course will also be available.
CA Conrad has been working with the ancient technologies of poetry and ritual since 1975. They have been described as the ‘shamanic cult hero of contemporary queer poetry’ and is the author of numerous collections of poetry including Listen to the Golden Boomerang Return (Wave Books, 2024), You Don’t Have What It Takes to Be My Nemesis (Penguin UK, 2023) and most recently Advanced Elvis Course (Peninsula Press, 2024).
Jacken Elswyth is a London-based folk musician, banjo player, and instrument builder. In her music making she is focused on exploring traditional tunes, developing extrapolations on folk styles and techniques, and investigating drone, ambience, and improvisation within and beyond folk music. Her debut album At Fargrounds (Wrong speed Records, 2024) was described as a ‘folk-thesis for our times’ by The Quietus.
