Two days from one of the all-time great – and longest-running – free improvising trios. Pianist Alex von Schlippenbach, saxophonist Evan Parker, and drummer Paul Lovens have a staggering level of interplay that draws on over 40 years of collaboration.
Formed in 1970, the trio has long-since transcended the kind of telepathic levels of communication that groups can spend a lifetime trying to reach, and yet their sound and approach remains and freshand as vibrant as ever.
