Dalglish

Chris Douglas has existed in the dark outer reaches of electronic music for 20 years. His music is abstract and labyrinthine but also forward-gazing and quite often astoundingly beautiful. Throughout a long career using different monikers (among others O.S.T., Dalglish and Scald Rougish), the Berlin resident, nomadic pioneer has explored – and partially developed – genres like IDM, dance-hostile techno and dark ambient. Douglas recorded his first EP for Detroit-based Switch Records in 1992 under the name O.S.T, and around that time worked with notable figures such as Mike Banks of Underground Resistance and the late James Stinson of Drexciya. In 2003 he was invited to perform at the All Tomorrows Parties festival in the UK, curated by Autechre. Since then he has created a large body of work with releases on labels such as Ideal Recordings, ICASEA and PAN.
