For his first appearance at Cafe OTO, Dave Phillips' video action offers an actionistic and physical performance accompanied by visuals. Loops and samples of voice and objects are played live over prepared sonic structures and follow a compositional narrative. Dave Phillips (dp) has been a purveyor of radical sound since the mid 80's. Working solo since 1987, he has developed a unique sonic language typified by sharp compositional techniques and strong environmentalist connotations. He is a member of the Schimpfluch-Gruppe.Phillips has been sonically active for over 25 years, has appeared on more than 190 releases and has played around 500 concerts in 40 countries.
