Huge gratitude to friend, art director and OTO supporter Mei Szetu for offering a month residency at her beautiful Nyksund Kooperative Studio Space in Kyksund Island, Norwegian arctic circle.
"A month's stay at the Nyksund Kooperative Studio Space. This includes local transfers to and from the airport Harstad/Evenes and a month's supply of basic staples like homemade jam, bread, seaweed, fish and seasonal veggies.
Nyksund is an island in the Norwegian arctic circle.
The 180 sqm studio is a fully furnished apartment (sleeps up to 5 people)an open plan workspace (120 sqm) overlooking the ocean - all on one floor. It's perched on the top floor of an old traditional wooden fishing wharf on the very tip of an island.
It's an airy open light filled space with broadband internet, and we are able to also provide some audio/visual equipment if needed. There’s a wood burning fire and a bathtub from which you can watch the wild sea. Midnight sun in summer and the most spectacular northern light in autumn and winter.
Surrounded by wild nature and mountains dipping into the ocean - its a popular place to get away from it all at the very edges of the world.
