Michel Banabila, born 1961, is a sound artist, composer, and producer. Banabila has released music since 1983 and has produced musical scores for numerous films, documentaries, theatre plays and choreographies. He played an indispensable part of the Dutch experimental music scene, where he has acquired a special place with many. His music varies from minimal loop-based electronica, fourth world, and neoclassical pieces, to drones, experimental ambient, and punk-as-fuck tape music. His work have been released internationally by labels like Bureau B (DE), Eilean Rec (FR), Knekelhuis (NL), Pingipung (DE) and Séance Centre (CA). The last couple of years, Michel released two amazing albums on Knekelhuis, 'Echo Transformations' & 'Unspeakable Visions'.
Lucy Duncombe and Feronia Wennborg's work is a repertoire of extended vocal technique with virtual voices, coerced into idioms of repetitious stutter, hums, yelps, barks, sighs, breaths, narration, choir.
Their first joint full-length music release, Joy, Oh I Missed You, will be released by Warm Winters Ltd in 2025.
Mark has been running the Knekelhuis label since 2024, driven by a deep sense of inclusion and eclecticism, infused with pastel-hued melancholy. The label cultivates long-lasting relationships with a family-like energy, fostering a strong and supportive community. It curates a diverse selection of alternative pop records, seamlessly blending them with sounds from the experimental realm. In his sporadic gigs, Mark weaves a sonic narrative that bridges cultural divides, challenging both ears and minds with vibrant collages.
