30 March – 2 April 2023
After three seasons in a little wooden chapel up in the eaves of Oxford House in Bethnal Green, eavesdropping is proud to be making Cafe OTO its new home. Curated by Juliet Fraser, this four-day festival includes four evening double-bill events and a weekend-long forum of talks, roundtables and provocations. The double bills present brand-new experiments by a diverse array of performers; the forum is an opportunity for local and visiting artists to reflect together on the topic 'Experiments in Defiance'. The vibe is low-key and friendly, whilst definitely being thought-provoking.

eavesdropping
eavesdropping is a platform for the sharing of new music and new ways of thinking about music. Excited by experimentalism, we create opportunities for artists and audiences to practise engaged listening and compassionate debate. Our activity includes a festival, a forum, a podcast, and training and development workshops. Our mission is to build community through an ethics of curiosity and care, in the belief that ripples do make waves.
