The Florist's Mum presents: Broshuda + Karakuchi + Alvarezz + Endless Mow (DJ SET)

No Longer Available

the florist’s mum is distinguished from other experimental labels not by it's inclination towards the avant-garde, but by it’s aestheticized return back to an originally melodic design. Functioning mostly within leftfield, everything is done with a sense of irony, for the florist’s mum is an attempt at beauty out of the remains of sun warped records, VHS tapes, and faulty drum machines. Releases that are always matte, and never glossy, the florist’s mum is an affront to the genre-seekers, and a breath of fresh air to those serious art goers feeling not so serious anymore.

Broshuda

Cross-pollinating a wide textural range of influences, Broshuda's music incorporates elements of sound art, electroacoustic techniques, chopped spoken word dissections and field recorded material, as well as more rhythmically oriented and noise-heavy excursions.

Though kaleidoscopically varied, the work is held together by a playful sense of experimentation and a willingness to explore new directions of sound through an experimental approach and the use of freeform production techniques to expand and further his already broad sonic palette.

Pursuing a strong Fluxus inspired interdisciplinary ethos in his artistic output, the same attitude is applied to his audio works, resulting in detailed sketches which at the same time show and disguise their inner logic while transporting a diverse range of carefully distilled feelings and emotions.

Karakuchi

Karakuchi is an electronic music project. It debuted in mid-2021 on The Florist’s Mum and subsequently, karakoochi was released on International winners.

Endless Mow (DJ SET)

Known for his string of releases on All Centre, Endless Mow takes cues from UK Funky and left field leaning Bass, alongside a palette of mediaeval inspired instrumentation and arrangement.

Alvarezz

Alvarezz is a London based Latinx artist exploring notions of alienation, identity and imagined history through found-sound and recorded media from across Latin America.
