Hailing from the active Slovakian noise scene, London-based electronic maverick girl-boy duo Jamka forge a rhythmic whirlwind of fractured structures, unfolding the mind into kinetic space for the body music to come. Using synthesizers, sequencers, samplers and various FX boxes, they touch on the darker and rhythmically complex side of techno, industrial and noise music, approaching it in their own uncompromising way. Jamka now return with Inter Alia 12", the latest evidence of their patient, intimate relationship with their analogue machines.
Carlos Gárate Marquerie (Madrid,1989) is a sound artist that lives and works in London. His BA in Sound Arts was received from London College of Communication. Carlos researches, both theoretically and in his artistic practice, the agency of Earth's materiality and energies on social systems. He works primarily with electromagnetic waves and subterranean vibrations to build his music performances and sound installations.
