Black Atlantic return to OTO in conjunction with the Trilogy Tapes label, presenting three London-based artists in the form of Rezzett, Beatrice Dillon, and Trilogy Tapes founder Will Bankhead.
Rezzett is a London-based production duo whose music first surfaced as the soundtrack to a couple of sketchy, self-made video clips back in early 2013.
Their grizzly, head-banging debut EP “Rezzett” soon followed on The Trilogy Tapes and 2014 saw the arrival of the hardcore-indebted “Zootie” EP on the same label in addition to a tape recording of their live set from Cav Empt’s Spring/Summer 2015 show in Japan last October. Their third record, “Goodness” was recently released on TTT.
This will be their first appearance at Cafe OTO and follows a couple of intimate basement parties in East London and a performance at Tate Britain earlier in the year.
London’s Beatrice Dillon is an artist, producer, and NTS DJ with acclaimed solo releases, remixes and collaborations across Hessle Audio, The Trilogy Tapes, PAN, Boomkat Editions, Timedance and Where To Now? etc. Recent performances include MUTEK Montreal, Tokyo wwwx, Documenta Athens, Barbican Centre, Masåfåt Cairo, Moscow’s Save, Dekmantel and Borealis Norway. She has collaborated with intl. visual artists across Lisson Gallery, Tate, ICA, Southbank Centre, amongst others. Dillon was the recipient of Wysing Arts Centre’s artist residency in 2016 and is resident at Somerset House Studios.
Runs The Trilogy Tapes from somewhere in South London. Knows his tunes.
