We were very hyped to have Tanzania's Bamba Pana & Makavelli come play while they were over for Counterflows Festival. Hailing from the Dar Es Salaam underground, Bamba Pana & Makavelli are part of Nyege Nyege Tapes, a Kampala based label exploring, producing and releasing outsider music from around the region and beyond. We first heard them on the Sounds of Sisso compilation which showcases early pioneers of the Singeli sound - producers Bwax, Sisso, Bampa Pana and Yung Keyz Morento and Mc’s Dogo Niga and Makavelli.
