Garazi Navas is a restless accordionist who, despite her youth, has participated in a multitude of projects performing contemporary, classical, traditional and other styles of music. Born in Usansolo (Bizkaia) in 1995, she completed a Bachelor's and Master's degree in Musical Performance at Musikene (Higher Music Center of the Basque Country), playing as a soloist with the BOS (Bilbao Symphony Orchestra) in several theaters in Bizkaia with Iker Sánchez conducting. She has also played within the BOS at the Campos Elíseos Theater in Bilbao under Jean-Philippe Wurtz, Ernest Martínez Izquierdo and Jordi Francés conducting, and with the EIO (Basque Student Orchestra) at the Teatro Monumental in Madrid, Kursaal de Donostia, National Auditorium of Zaragoza and Euskalduna of Bilbao. She has performed at festivals such as the “Caprichos Musicales de Comillas” (Cantabria) or the “Zarata Fest” in Bilbao. She participated as an accordionist in the audiovisual installation “Partitura” by the Cuban artist Carlos Garaicoa at the Azkuna Zentroa in Bilbao and has played as a soloist with the Musikene symphony orchestra at the Kursaal in Donostia. She regularly collaborates with artists from different disciplines on projects with dance, poetry, theater or artistic installations, both alone and with various groups.
