Sarah Saviet is a violinist based in Berlin. She is a member of the Saviet/Houston Duo, Ensemble Mosaik, and the Harmonic Space Orchestra.
Sarah is an active commissioner of new repertoire and has worked closely with composers Catherine Lamb, Lawrence Dunn, Jack Sheen, Evan Johnson, Rebecca Saunders, and Liza Lim. Recent festival highlights include Märzmusik, Wittener Tage für Neue Kammermusik, Ultraschall (Berlin), and Gaudeamus.
Sarah has held visiting artist positions and given workshops on contemporary violin technique at the University of the Arts Berlin, Huddersfield University, Goldsmith University London, Glasgow Conservatory, Harvard University, Manhattan School of Music, and Hannover University of Music. She has held residencies at Aldeburgh Music with composers Lawrence Dunn, Jack Sheen, and artist Rowland Hill.
Recent and upcoming releases include Bryn Harrison’s 50 minute solo ‘a coiled form’ on another timbre, music by Soosan Lolavar for detuned violin on All That Dust, and a solo album on Coviello Contemporary.
