EP launch for Simbiosi who play live with Franck Vigroux and Shapednoise as part of this abstract electronic label showcase.

Italian DJ/production duo Simbiosi debuted in 2015 with a 3-part box set entitled Elements album via Werkdiscs / Ninja Tune on 2nd October 2015. The fourteen tracks span techno, hardcore and abstract explorations and include "xxxxxxx" and 'Impari' which featured in Actress' DJ-KiCKS mix. "The whole series has been recorded at night. Everything sounds better at night", say Simbiosi.
Shapednoise is a speakerripping electronics/noise techno producer. Based in Berlin, this Italian’s boundless compositional approach has lead him to some superb musical achievements. Intense, grinding, propulsive and immersive, his one-of-a-kind style has proven to be undoubtedly versatile.

The project debuted in 2013, with a limited edition cassette on Hospital Productions—a label owned by Dominick Fernow AKA Prurient/Vatican Shadow. Not much later, he released the truly aggressive “Until Human Voices Wake Us” on Opal Tapes, venturing in more vanguard realms.
In 2015, Shapednoise premiered a new audiovisual project, "Metaphysical", together with visual artist sYn. This deep and dense creation explores the textural complexities of the sonic and physical world we live in. The duo focuses on the duality of unanswerable questions — What is beauty? What is natural? What is noise? What is music? —, thereby inviting audiences to act not as mere art consumers, but also take active part in a dialogue on the metaphysics and the aesthetics of sound and image.
In January 2017 Logos and Mumdance' label, Different Circles released their new compilation "Weightless vol.2" on vinyl with 'Deep Core Consciousness' - a new original Shapednoise' track. Hints of new collaborations with a variety of bass and drone protagonists also lie in the near future.
Franck Vigroux is one of the few artists who are both a musician and a director.
As a composer-performer he has the rare capacity to produce a very wide range of sounds from electroacoustic to industrial noise, modern composition and experimental electronic music. He has performed and recorded with internationally renowed musicians such as Mika Vainio (Pan Sonic), Reinhold Friedl, Elliott Sharp, Joey Baron, Zeena Parkins, Ars nova ensemble instrumental.
The uniqueness also comes from Vigroux's artistic approach that integrates new media and performing arts. Since 2009 he designs trans-disciplinary shows and collaborates with Compagnie D'autres Cordes, a production agency dedicated to performing arts.
His work has been shown worldwide in major international festivals.
Vigroux’s records are published on labels such as DAC Records (France), Leaf Label (UK) Cosmos Rhythmic (Germany), Monotype Rec (Poland).
