Like so many others we were deeply shocked by the tragic and untimely death of composer and trumpeter, Jaimie Branch. A terrifically talented, fiery artist who was a key force in contemporary jazz and outer musics. It was an honour to host her here in the past and she had a huge impact on countless other artists who've performed here over the years.
We'll be hosting a free tribute event this Thursday, playing some of her records, alongside a special live set from Robyn Steward, Charlotte Keeffe, John Edwards and Charles Hayward, plus The Hum's Bradford Bailey on the decks. Come down and help us celebrate a true on of a kind.
