Lea Bertucci is an experimental musician, composer and performer whose work describes relationships between acoustic phenomena and biological resonance. In addition to her longstanding practice with woodwind instruments, her work incorporates spatialized speaker arrays, radical methods of free improvisation and creative misuses of audio technology applied to field recording and sampling/collage techniques. In recent years, her projects have expanded toward site-specific and site-responsive projects that initiate new access points to architecture. Her approach to music is marked by dense masses of sustained dissonance and a fascination with the sonic substance of common experience.

Her discography spans over a decade, with eight full-length solo albums and a number of collaborative projects. In 2018 and 2019, she released solo albums Metal Aether and Resonant Field on NNA Tapes, and has since gone on to found her own label, Cibachrome Editions, with 2021’s A Visible Length of Light as the inaugural release followed by 2022’s Murmurations, a duo with Ben Vida.

She has performed extensively across the US and Europe with presenters such as The Museum of Modern Art New York, Blank Forms, Gagosian Gallery, Pioneer Works, The Kitchen, The Walker Museum, Tempo Reale in Florence, Muziekgebouw Amsterdam, Museo Reina Sofia Madrid, Sound of Stockholm Festival, ReWire Festival, Borderline Festival, and Unsound Festival Krakow. In 2018, she was awarded a Jfund for New Music grant from the American Composers’ Forum and a commission for a brass octet from the Levy Gorvy Gallery in New York. Artist residencies include the MacDowell Colony and Bemis Center for Contemporary Art. In 2021/22, commissions from the INA GRM in Paris, Quartetto Maurice in Turin and by ARS Nova Workshop in Philadelphia for new compositions will be forthcoming.

Bridget Hayden

Bridget Hayden is a Todmorden-based musician & rural conjurer noted for her participation with free-form noise rock acts such as Vibracathedral Orchestra, Schisms and Sunburned Hand of The Man.

More recently, she's been found performing under various monikers related to the "Folklore Tapes" collective including "TV Terrorland" and "Echo of Light". Other collaborators include Bill Nace, Dan Bridgewood-Hill, Sam Mcloughlin, Roy Claire Potter and Mary Stark.

Bridget’s solo output is somewhat difficult to define, often falling into and swinging in-between the static-haze between words and worlds. Aching, yearning folk abstractions drift and swing between blistering, swelling guitar-crackle: Ecstatic fire, paradoxically concussing and elucidating.

Ghost music for the living, breathing and feeling.
