Pierre Bastien

French composer and musician Pierre Bastien played first in some collective bands, and with the Dominique Bagouet Dance Company. In 1976 he built a sound sculpture that was going to be the first element of a large orchestra called Mecanium : an ensemble of musical automatons made of meccano parts and electro-motors, playing on acoustic instruments from all over the world. In the nineties the mechanical orchestra developed up to 80 pieces. It took part in music festivals and art exhibitions in Norway (World Music Days 1990), Australia (Tisea 1992), Japan (Artec 1995), Canada (Fimav 1995, Sound Symposium 1998), Poland (Warsaw Autumn 1995), United States (Flea Festival 1996). In the recent years, Pierre Bastien and his machines collaborated with video artist Pierrick Sorin, fashion designer Issey Miyake, British singer and composer Robert Wyatt, Trottola circus company, musicians Alexei Aigi, Dr Truna, Steve Arguelles, Pascal Comelade and Jaki Liebezeit, among others. His music is released on Western Vinyl, Signature, Rephlex, Morphine, Discrepant and Marionette Records.

Anna Homler

Anna is an improvising vocalist from Los Angeles, who sings in a melodic phonetic language. She also plays a wide variety of objects and toys. She is known for release Breadwoman on RVNG.Since 1982, she has collaborated with composers and musicians Steve Moshier, David Moss, Peter Kowald (video extract), Steve Beresford and Ethan James. Better acknowledged in Europe than her home city of Los Angeles, she has collaborated there with such artists as Sylvia Hallett, the Voices of Kwahn, Axel Otto, Frank Schulte, Geert Waegeman and Pavel Fajt. She has performed throughout Europe and the U.S., including appearances at The Kitchen, Dixon Place and the Poetry Project in New York.

Adrian Northover

Adrian plays soprano, sopranino and alto saxophones, and is based in London. He can currently be heard playing on the London club scene with a wide range of musicians, including the London Improvisers Orchestra, as well as doing solo saxophone performances.
Adrian also works with film/sound and runs 'Ensemble Kino', a pool of musicians providing live music to film, as well as the yearly Triptik film night events, involving a stellar cast of improvisers.

As well as 'Jazz Thali' (Indo -Greek Jazz fusion) with Harvir Sahota (tabla) and Tasos Stamou (bouzouki), he can also be booked to play Bollywood tunes for weddings, either as solo sax on in a duo with tabla.

Dave Tucker

Dave Tucker is originally performed in the late 70's Manchester Punk scene with Mellatron who released a record in 1978. between 1980-81, performed and recorded the legendary "Slates" with The Fall. Since the mid 80's, has been resident in London and has performed and recorded with amongst others, Evan Parker, John Stevens, Johnny Dyani, Mick Beck, Phillip Wachsmann, Barre Phillips, Otomo Yoshide. Also a long time menber of Alan Tomlinson Trio, Scatter with Pat Thomas, Phil Minton and Roger Turner as well as being a long time guitarist and conductor with London Improvisers Orchestra. He has written and performed music for film and TV, including BBC and channel 4 which won the rory peck ward.
