"The Random Gear Festival is a celebration of absurdity and improvisation in which a selection of ‘instruments’ (both musical and non) are assigned to the performers in a randomized fashion. They are then expected to perform on their fatefully bestowed ‘gear’ for a specific amount of time, which as well as the order of performers, is also determined at random. Previous instrument selections have included: smoke machine + vacuum cleaner + floor tom + fish, 3 cars, wet baguette + exercise bike, full unpatched modular synth rack, 6 beers + 6 flanger pedals, and many more..." - Ren Schofield
