Venus Ex Machina is a composer, sound designer and interdisciplinary artist, whose debut album Lux, was released to acclaim in 2021. Lux is a digital sanctuary, a choral ambience, layered electronics, no in-put mixer scree, a requiem for an earth beset by environmental change.
"Existing somewhere in between von Hildegard's celestial compositions, polyrhythmic percussive modes, sinister ambience, mutant bass modulations and sound art practices, Lux is one of the most exciting debut albums of the year so far." – The Quietus on Lux by Venus Ex Machina
ABI ASISA, a 23-year-old producer and cellist, challenges norms by leveraging her classical training to dissolve the distinctions between jazz, pop, and experimental music.
Hailing from Brighton, ASISA relocated to London when she was 19 years old and her exposure to the city's jazz scene prompted her to break free from the insularity of the classical realm.
This led her to explore innovative ways of using her instrument to produce music influenced by artists such as Oliver Coates, Tirzah, and Eartheater.
